Parking for 'Dickens'




There is an extended park and ride scheme in operation for Dickens of a Christmas 2010. Once again, you can pick up a free coach for the short ride into town. The coaches reun all day ferrrying people back and forth.

Approaching from the Milton Keynes/M1 junction on the A509.

Turn off for Emberton park and then take the free coach to Olney. For those who fancy a short walk, it is about half a mile into the town from here, through the park and over the bridge.

Approaching from Northampton, Wellingborough or Bedford

At the northern end of town, the park and ride is on he industrial estate off Yardley road.

Ousedale School, off Asprey's

The school car park is being offered from where an additional service will operate this year.


If you come early enough, you can access one of Olney's public car parks - following signs off East Street.

There are long stay car parks at the back of Fountain Court off East Street, another at the turn off the Market Place next to Punch Opticians.

Parking for disabled people is available at each car park. There are further disabled bays at the Olney Centre car park.
