    Description

Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is a working steam museum spread over a 25 acre site: one of the largest private railway collections in the country - from steam locomotives to express passenger trains. They include a Royal Train and one used in war time meetings by Winston Churchill. Please check the website before travel.

    • Steam train rides on Sundays, plus miniature railway, model trains, and Railway Museum and Visitor Centre.
    • On steaming days, you can take rides on vintage carriages at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre.
    • Please check the website: open Monday-Wednesday for Static Days when the site is open but train rides are NOT running.
    • The "Days out with Thomas" give a little (or big) one obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine a treat.

© Visit Olney is a social enterprise. The Visit Olney website aims to provide accurate, up-to-date tourist information and visitor guides about the town of Olney, in Buckinghamshire, which lies between Northampton, Milton Keynes and Bedford. Olney is known for the pancake race and its literary associations with writers Cowper and Newton, and a connection to the abolitionist movement. This is a thriving Georgian market town with a renowned museum. The independent High Street depends on both visitors and local people visiting the town and we aim to show what there is to explore, enjoy and experience here to fulfill our mission: to help local businesses and community groups thrive. Visit Olney is paid for by the generous support of partners from the town, whose businesses are listed on our Visit Olney homepage.
