    Description

This is a traditional hardware shop with a little extra: an Aladdin’s Cave of thousands of items:

Garden supplies, pet supplies, coals, logs/kiln dried, spark guards, fire irons and accessories, ironmongery, DIY, wood and sheet materials, paint and decorating supplies, plumbing supplies, and baskets. Many, many types of baskets!

Wander around the different sections of the shop, but the friendly staff are always on hand for a chat and to offer help. And if there isn't what you need, they will do their best to order it in.

    • A hardware shopping experienceC T Wilson and Son was established around 1860. The CT, was Charles
Thomas, a coal merchant born in Emberton. First coal deliveries were by
horse and cart. Charles also ran one of the two pubs in Emberton, The Bell.
Les (only son of Charles) and his wife Jean, ran the other village pub, The
Bear. Some years later Les joined the coal business. Jean and Les had 6 children, most of whom were born in what is now called, The Bell and Bear. Charles eventually retired, leaving Les to run the business. The eldest child, Gerald, joined his father in the business, followed by youngest son, Keith. When Les retired Keith and Gerald joined as partners to run the business.
Today the business is still very family orientated, employing 3 of Charles’
grandchildren, and a great grandchild, together with a fantastic staff team.

The store is located half way along the High Street, with free parking outside
